I can't remember a time when I wasn't fooling around with words. In 1976-78 I was a feature writer for the Frank W. Cox High School newspaper in Virginia Beach. I studied English and Business at Rappahannock Community College in Virginia. Between raising three terrific children, I've written four novels and countless poems. My poetry appears or is scheduled to appear in: Ancient Heart Magazine, Poetry Sharings Journal, The Baroque Review Magazine, Voices Magazine, Voices: Spirit of Strength, The Best Poems and Poets of 2004 and numerous other publications. My poetry has received several awards including: Featured Poet of Poetry Sharings Journal for the month of August/04; The International Award for Excellence and Beauty at The Flowing Quills poetry forum, The Moon-kissed Myth Award at Galadrial's Respite poetry forum, and Poem of the Month at Poets' Point poetry forum.

gardening, herbal medicine, talking to God, wordcrafting, reading (every subject from sci fi to topiary gardening) I do a lot of writing in my "office": a lovely spot by a stream deep in the forest.
